Helixnet: Program input is bleeding back into 4-wire module audio output
Question: I have 2 Helixnet base stations that are attached to an Eclipse Median frame via 4-wire modules in the Helixnet base station and mixed together via virtual party-lines in the Eclipse frame. Program is routed to both Helixnet base stations, when I route program to a specific Helixnet channel the audio adjustment control on the HBP-2X beltpack doesn't fully mute the program audio feed and the program audio feed is bleeding back into the Eclipse party-lines. What can I adjust to get rid of the program feed back into the Eclipse party-lines?
Answer: Check the Helixnet base station menus, it is quite possible that the 4-wire module program output is set to "UNMUTED" as the default option. On the base station press the MENU button:
On the left most scroll knob / display select "MODULE SETTINGS"
On the next scroll knob / display select the slot(s) that contain the 4-wire module(s)
On the next scroll knob / display select "PROGRAM OUTPUT"
From the last scroll knob / display the following options should appear: "UNMUTE" and "MUTE"
select "MUTE" and press the scroll knob in to verify the selection
The Program Audio is now only routed to HBP-2X beltpack channels that have been set to hear program audio. No Program audio is routed to the 4-wire outputs and the program audio is now able to be fully muted at the beltpack with the thumb wheel control.
