Matrix: How can I quickly test an E-Dante card in a Eclipse frame?
Several quick configurations can be created using Eclipse HX software and with Dante Virtual Soundcard.
Make sure you have a PC with Dante controller and Dante virtual sound card installed
Connect your PC and E-Dante64 card to a Gigabit switch and setup suitable IP address for both
1. Simple self audio test on an E-Dante card port - Create a port, place talk and listen keys on a panel, use Dante
controller software to make a subscription on that port, user should hear their own audio when the talk / listen keys are
active.
2. Use Media Player to generate a listen on a E-Dante listen port - Use Dante Virtual Soundcard, open PC Media
Player and make subscription from DVS to E-Dante card using Dante Controller. Two channels of audio can be heard
at a panel.
3. Generate a Talk from an Eclipse panel to PC speakers - Use DVS to route Eclipse panel talk to PC speakers via
Dante Controller subscription from E-Dante transmit channel to DVS receive channel
4. Route (Program) audio from Eclipse frame to E-Dante port - Create a forced listen from audio source to a E-Dante
port, then in Dante Controller create a subscription from E-Dante transmit to receive channel and place EHX port LISTEN label
on a panel. You should hear the audio source on the panel
