Matrix: Using a Viking CPC Generator (Calling Party Control) with Tel-14

You will need to use a CPC generator if the telecoms (POTS) system that you are connected to cannot provide a calling party control signal. Which in some cases means the TEL-14 cannot hang up correctly.

This is a momentary break in the phone loop line current which signals that the distant party has hung up.

It may also be the case that you are in a country that uses a slightly different mechanism to indicate this condition that the the Tel-14 module does not recognize.
