Matrix: Does the EHX event log automatically log messages?

I want to make sure my PC captures EHX event log messages. Do I need to open the event log screen?

Eclipse Logs are written into an SDF file on your PC hard drive from the CPU NVRAM.  

  • SDF file is written to by EHX PC as status messages arrive via UDP from the matrix

  • The Event log screen must be open to initiate recording (Go To EHX > Diagnostic > Event log > START the  Event log screen)

  • Logging must be started for each matrix in the project

  • Once recording has started you can close the event log screen, logging will carry on in the background as long as the EHX application is open

 The Save diagnostics zip file creates an event log with a copy of the SDF file.The save diagnostics also pulls data directly from the CPU / NVRAM during the save diagnostics as well as taking a copy of the map and firmware report and event log mesages from the SDF file
