Partyline: How does the RS703 / RS603 call signalling work when connected to a MS702

The RS-603-TW and RS-703-TW beltpacks units work in the same way

  • They provide RTS call signalling on channel A

  •  They provide Clear-Com call signalling on channel B

  • They cannot provide Clear-Com call signalling on both channels

RS-703 connected to a MS-702 via the TWC-701 Active Interface

Pin Out

  • Pin 1 = GND

  • Pin 2 = Supply Voltage 28VDC/Audio Channel A with RTS Call Light

  • Pin 3 = Audio Channel B with CC Call Light
    * When you connect a PL system in the following manner RS703 <> TWC-701 <> MS-702: Then the MS-702 will only receive call signal from the RS-703 on channel B as the RS703 channel A is set to RTS mode and it is not received by the MS-702 unit.

If you connect a RS-703 to a MS-702 directly (Without the TWC-701 Active Interface)

Pin Out

  • Pin 1 = GND

  • Pin 2 = Supply Voltage ONLY

  • Pin 3 = Audio Channel B

RS-703 directly connected to the MS-702, the RS-703 will act as a Single Channel BP (using only Channel B).
