Wireless: Freespeak Antenna Status LED

Wireless: Freespeak Antenna Status LED

Question: My antenna splitter has a lit LED on port 2. The antenna connected to port 2 does not have a yellow LED present. How can this happen?
Answer: The LED gives the status of the receive data to a given port. So while the splitter may be receiving data from the antenna in port 2, the antenna is not receiving data from the splitter. This could be due to a poor termination (of the RJ45 connector) or issue with the cable.Freespeak II antennas will not transmit data back to the splitter until they receive signal so this scenario would not happen with a Freespeak II system.
