Matrix: Can I transfer a Micro-Matrix config file to a Compact 72 frame?

Question:  We have an old Matrix 24 frame and received a hand me down Matrix 3 plus 72 from one of our sister stations.
We use the matrix 3+ software to configure the Matrix 24. Is there an easy way to move the config's to the Matrix 3+ 72 frame?
Answer:  You should be able to save the current Matrix +3 configuration file from the Micro-Matrix frame as a .CFG file.
Open the saved config file in the new frame, then from the Setup screen select the Systems Preferences tab.   In Systems
Settings the frame should now report as a Compact 72.  If it doesn’t then use the pull down tab and select “Compact 72” as
the frame type and apply the change.
When the saved .CFG file in the Compact 72 frame is opened the change will happen automatically and you will see the first 24
ports programmed as they were in the 24 port frame provided the cards are of the same type between the two frames.   The
remaining 48 ports will be blank and require programming.
Looking for labels? They can now be found in the details panel on the floating action bar.
