Partyline: HMS-4X base station front panel channel display functionality

Question:  What user functions can be controlled via the base station's front panel channel display / control?
Answer:  Front Panel Channel Display screen. The following default information is displayed onscreen:

• The channel label (user can create custom names for each of the 4 channels available)
• The channel listen (volume) level (volume bar increases / decreases depending on volume level set)
• The number of people listening and talking on the channel (show by the L and T letters followed by a numerical value)
In Menu mode, the display screens display the four levels of menu. The menu hierarchy proceeds left to right:
• The top level menu is presented in the first screen (furthest left on the front panel).
• The lowest level menu is presented in the fourth screen (furthest right on the front panel).
Note: If the display is in Menu mode, the display screen times out of Menu mode and displays the channel label if no key is pressed for 20 seconds.
Talk key. Press to talk to all channels (also shows when audio is muted with display icon)
Call key. Press to send a call signal to all nodes (intercom devices and systems) listening into the channel
Rotary control. Turn to increase or decrease the volume level for the channel, or to scroll menu items when in menu mode. To select menu items, press (push) the control
