HelixNet: Can I change a user role locally at a HMS-4X base or HBP-2X beltpack?
Question: I have a HMS-4X main station with 10 HBP-2X beltpacks on an outdoor shoot with some defined users roles setup
ahead of time, but I don't have a PC with me to change the user roles via the CCM. Can I change the roles locally at the base
station and at the beltpack locations?
Answer: Yes the user defined roles on HelixNet base stations, beltpacks, speaker station and remote stations can be changed
locally at the hardware locations.
For the HMS-4X main station:

For the HMS-4X main station:
- Press the Menu button on the HMS-4X front panel, scroll to station settings
- In the second display window scroll to Preferences
- In the third display window select Roles
- In the last display window scroll to the desired user defined role or local config, highlight it and press the encoder to activate
- The message "applying" will be seen briefly and the HMS-4X is now using the selected user role
For the HBP-2X main station:
- Press the Menu button on the HBP-2X front panel
- In the display window scroll to the desired user role or local config, highlight it and press the right hand Call button to activate
- The message "applying" will be seen briefly and the HBP-2X is now using the selected user role
