Partyline: Modify a V-BOX (or U-BOX) for Two-Channel Operation, KB-702 or KB-702GM

Modifying a V-BOX (or the newer U-BOX) for Two Channel Operation.  The standard V-BOX (and U-BOX) is designed for a single channel KB-701 wall panel.  When using with a two channel KB-702 or KB-702GM, if you want to use both channels and install it in a standard 3-pin V-BOX, you’ll need to make some modifications.  First of all, the KB-702 wall panels ship in “single channel mode”. So the first thing you’ll want to do is to take the panel out of that mode.  There is a switch on the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) to select or deselect that single channel operation mode.

**Note there is a 6-pin version which negates this issue, but then you'll need 6-pin XLR cable or a YC-36 y-cable.  6-pin model # = V-BOX-X6 (and U-BOX-X6)

See attached document for instructions on how to modify the V-BOX wiring and set the KB-702 for two channel operation.  (Applies to 3-pin U-BOX, too.)
