FSII Software Upgrade FAQ The FSII v1.5 release adds features to the FSII-BASE-II via a software upgrade that works in conjunction with new beltpack and transceiver firmware. The firmware upgrade for beltpacks and transceivers works on all systems and is not dependent upon FSII v1.5 base station upgrade.  This means that beltpacks and transceivers can be upgraded without upgrading the base station, and those upgraded beltpacks and transceivers will work across different versions of FSII-BASE-II and Eclipse EHX systems. A rental company for example can use their updated beltpacks and transceivers on any base or frame regardless of the frame or base station software version.  The beltpack and Transceiver firmware is available from the website as a free download.  How does customer get latest beltpack and transceiver firmware?Download from Clear-Com Website.http://www.clearcom.com/support/freespeak-ii If I update beltpack and transceiver only do I get all the FSII 1.5 features?Yes, but to use these features you must have the basestation upgraded to v1.5 . Should I update beltpack and transceiver, if not upgrading the FSII-BASE-II to v1.5?Yes, new beltpack and transceiver firmware has bug fixes.The Beltpack and Antennas firmware work as a MATCHED pair. please upgrade both to the latest versions
 Can I use updated beltpacks and transceivers on different base stations running older and newer firmware?Yes, you can use beltpacks and transceivers running the latest firmware, on Eclipse EHX systems, and Base Stations that are running older versions of EHX and FSII-BASE-II software.
Rental companies should upgrade all their beltpacks and transceivers to the latest firmware, and these can be moved between all versions of FSII systems.
The Beltpack and Antennas firmware work as a MATCHED pair. please upgrade both to the latest versions

FSII BaseII  systems and FSII Base (classic) systems

Yes, FSII 1.9 beltpacks running v 2.23.32.0 or above can be moved between any FSII 1.9 system.  If I do not upgrade FSII-BASE-II to 1.5 will there be problems with my system?No, you only need to upgrade to 1.5 to utilize new features. Is there and upgrade charge for in warranty base stations?No, FSII-BASE-II customers within the one-year software warranty period will be offered the upgrade at zero cost.
