Wireless: Freespeak II Base has Flashing Yellow Antenna LED(s)
Question: We noticed on our FSII-Base station that antenna #8 and antenna #10 are blinking after FSII base start-up, the splitter supporting antenna #8 and antenna #10 are powered off.Prior to this issue, there's also complains that antenna #10 is not working fine (sometimes the antenna amber light isblinking, sometimes it is stable).
Answer: Make sure the splitter is powered up before switching on the base station Otherwise, the basestation mightpower the splitter. In this case there might be insufficient power. The Cellcom/ Freespeak base for FS-I or FS-II will,on boot up, detect if there is already power on the E1 CAT 5 connector. Ifthere is, then it will not turn on local power to the splitters.
In all accounts, we recommend the splitter is locally powered and if possible power the antennas locally - especially if they are on cable runs more than 250m on FS-II (300m in ideal conditions for FS-I/ Cellcom). FreeSpeak II antennas draws a bit more power.
