Matrix: Can I split the functionality of the E-QUE card properties?

Answer : Yes using EHX 7.x software you can split the functionality of the EQUE card, the options are: -
  • E-Que E1 or T1 Trunk (the whole card is set to trunk mode for intelligent linking to other Eclipse HX matrices)
  • E-Que E1 or T1 Direct (the whole card is set to audio only direct mode for connection to 3rd party E1 or T1 devices - including Drake 4000 Hi-Que cards)
  • E-Que E1 or T1 Direct/Trunk (the card is used in split mode)
- the top half of the card is used for direct mode connection for connection to 3rd party E1 or T1 devices - the bottom half of the card is used for trunk mode for intelligent linking

The top half of the card uses the RJ45 port mark # 1 on the rear of the EQUE card The bottom half of the card uses the RJ45 port mark # 5 on the rear of the EQUE card

By accessing the card properties screen in EHX software the user can select different codecs for the top and bottom halves of the cards as shown in the screen shot below:

From this screen the user can set the following parameters:
Clock Recovery
Codec Top Half
Codec Bottom Half
EM Signalling
Looking for labels? They can now be found in the details panel on the floating action bar.
