Matrix: Can I select and route different IFB source audio from a matrix panel. Making your panel an ASSIGNMENT PANEL
Yes, we can route program source audio to an IFB destination via a panel.The V-Panels and the i-Stations both offer this function. By highlighting the panel’s port in the ECS/EHX software and then selecting the IFB ASSIGNMENT tick box in the ASSIGNMENT PANEL OPTIONS in the advanced settings area on the right hand side of the page, gives that panel permission to have the IFB assignment functionality.
On a shift page, (configure) place some IFB destination ports as TALKs and also some audio source ports as LISTENs. Apply these changes to the matrix. Then, when viewing the shift page you have programmed, engage the panel’s menu and select ASSIGNMENT MODE and all the IFB (destination) ports will flash red. Select the IFB port you want to change the program audio for and that button will stay solid red. Then all the potential audio source ports will flash green. Selecting one of the PGM Audio sources will turn the led solid green (indicating that ..that PGM is now feeding the IFB destination you selected)If you select a different PGM audio source ( flashing green led) . Then THAT one will be solid green and that source will be the one feeding the selected IFB’s destination.
