Wireless: I want to connect my WBS basestation to a Tecpro (UK) Party line speaker
Wireless: I want to connect my WBS basestation to a Tecpro (UK) Party line speaker
You asked about interfacing the Clear-Com WBS wireless basesation to a Tecpro Canford wired system
Please note that the WBS does not provide power to the Tecpro wired system . So there must be a Tecpro unit which is providing power to the wired system
This can be achieved in one of two ways
a) Set the WBS XLR connector to CC mode,
Connect the XLR connector on the rear of the basestation to the Tecpro powered wired PL system
Enable the 2-wire mode on the front of the basestation by using the front panel switches
connect a XLR cable from the WBS basestation to the Techpro powered speaker.
Note (1) The Techpro system MUST provide the "wired PL system" power to the WBS basestation over the XLR cable. The WBS basestation does NOT send power down the 2-wire cable.
Note (2) due to the difference in the audio termination of Clear-Com and Tecpro you may get some small differences in audio levels between the wireless users and the wired users.
b) Use the WBS RJ45 4-wire connector and connect it to a 2-wire to 4-wire adapter from Tecpro to the rest of the Tecpro wired system
Note (1) The Techpro system MUST provide the "wired PL system" power to the WBS basestation over the XLR cable. The WBS basestation does NOT send power down the XLR cable.
Note (2) if you just want to connect the WBS to a speaker for monitoring purposes, then you can use any POWERED Loudspeaker
see link to Canford speaker . Connect from the WBS RJ45 4-wire connector on the rear of the basestation to the Powered speaker and then there is no need for the 2-wire to 4-wire adapter
