Partyline: How does remote mic kill work on the Encore system?
Partyline: How does remote mic kill work on the Encore system?
The Encore RMK (remote mic kill) signal is done by killing power to the intercom line. The 600 series is the only product intelligent enough to detect an RMK signal (slight interruption in power) and an AC RMK signal (AC RMK is generated by the beltpack).
Other units may indicate a RMK as a slight short on the PSU when a RMK is sent.
