Wireless: Can I connect more than two channels of 2-wire IC to a CellCom basestation?
Wireless: Can I connect more than two channels of 2-wire IC to a CellCom basestation?
Question: I have a MS-704 main station and I want to connect all four channels to my CellCom base station. Is this possible?
Answer: There are several different solutions to this issue. The CellCom base station supports two channels of 2-wire intercom. In this case two of these channels can be connected directly to the CellCom base station via the 2-wire IC XLR connectors and the remaining two channels of 2-wire IC can be converted into 4-wire IC via the use of EF-701M interfaces on each channel and connect to two of the available RJ-45 4-wire IC connectors.
Another way to connect all 4 MS-704 2-wire IC channels to the CellCom would utilize a IF4W4 interface and connect all four channels to each of the available RJ-45 4-wire channels on the CellCom base station. This would allow for identical wiring on all 4 channels to the CellCom base station.
