Matrix: Remote control of V-Series Panel Speaker output
Question:If someonecalls a v-series panel which is outputting the audio via a headset, and theperson who is supposed to be receiving the call is not at their station toreceive the call, is there a way to remotely choose for the V-Series panel tooutput the audio from the speaker instead of the headset, so that somebody elsein the area may hear the call?I know therewould be a flashing call signal, but we’re just wondering if there is an optionfor the audio output to be controlled also.
Answer:Yes,all panels can be activated to allow “page override”. Meaning someoneelse could page for them on their panel’s speaker.Example:Activatepage override in panel option and select the level of the panel’s speaker’s level(eg. panels in quiet room could have lower gain and panels in noisy ambienceroom may need higher gain or depending if it’s 1RU or 2RU panels).Ifpanel A is on headset and walks away from his station. Panel B could goto his own panel’s menu and select “local page”, once local page is selected, the panel would goes back to keys’ label and panel B user would have 5 secs toselect the key (“panel A” in this case) and do a momentary page (out on “panelA” speaker). The page would happen as long as panel B holds on to thetalk key to “panel A”. When panel B stops holding the talk key to panelA, the panel would be back to normal operation.
