Matrix: Does the ICS-1016 expansion panel require its own PSU?

The EXP-1016E does not require an external power supply unit, it is supplied +12Vdc from the ICS-1008E or 1016E main host panel via the DB-9 remote connector.  This is the connector that connects an EXP-1016E to the host panel.
