Matrix: I have just installed a ECS server PC, how can I test that the installation has been successful on ECS V5.2

To test the connection from client #1 PC to the ECS server PC Please check your login path

  • From the client PC - start ECS V5.2  > log out > Log in and select options to enter the path address of the ECS Server PC 


From the server PC  try typing this into  the web browser http://localhost/EclipseServer/version.aspx It should reply back with the ECS version . This will tell you if the web  services are up and running on the server PC
From the Client #1 PC , try typing this into the web browser http://SERVER IP ADDRESS/EclipseServer/version.aspx It should reply back with the ECS version . This will tell you if the web services are up and running on the server PCNote: you may have to disable all firewalls on both machines if you see no reply
