IP Voice: VoICE units disconnect after about 15 min and they reconnect automatically at times
Symptoms:VoICE units disconnect after some minutes (about 15 min).Most of the times, they reconnect automatically but they may need a reset from time to time to get back online.One of the units shows the port's LEDs flashing but the other unit may not necessarily show that.
Troubleshooting tips:- You can start by checking the disconect timeout and use 4-7 seconds instead of 40 seconds which is the default.- Make sure that the IP addresses to be used are not used anywhere else in the system even when the IT department has provided you with the information:- to check this, you can disconnect one VoICE unit from the network at a time and ping the IP address and make sure that there's no response. If there's a response then there's another device in the network using that IP address already.
