Matrix: How do I access the Config-1 and MTX-A8M cards in a M+3 Micromatrix frame?
Question: How do I install or remove a Config-1 or MTX-A8M port card from a Matrix +3 Micromatrix Frame?
Answer:To install or remove a Config-1 or MTX-A8M card onthe Micro Matrix frame the following has to be done:
The card installation or removal should be done with the frame power supply brick powered down and if possible follow anti static procedures while installing or removing the Config-1 or MTX-A8M card. Removing / installing cards easily dislodge the existing cards from their card guides, if this happens it could make reassembly of the front panel difficult until the cards are reseated properly.
1. The front panel onthe frame has to be removed from the frame chassis. To drop the frontpanel you will need to remove (4) bolts from the back side of the front panel, two at each end. This should allow the front panel to be removed. 2. Once the front panelis out of the way you will see the installed cards on the frame, the top slot is dedicated for the Config-1 card. The remaining 3 slots are reserved for MTX-A8M cards (slots 2, 3 and 4). Carefully slide in or slide out the card from its card guides and guide it in until itmates securely into the frame backplane connectors. 3. Once thisaccomplished reinstall the front panel and secure it with the bolts removed instep 1.
