Matrix: What type of switch should I use with an IVC-32 / IP Panels?

Question:  I need to know what type of ethernet switches to get for V series panels.  Does it need to be "gig e or 10-100 switches Ok?

Answer:  The IVC-32 requires a 100BaseT network

Therefore it will works with a 10/100 baseT router or switch. If you are using the system in DHCP mode it would need to use a router which can assign IP addresses dynamically, if you are using a static IP you can use either a switch or router.
We recommend that you give the IVC-32 a fixed IP address. The V-series panels can be set for either DHCP or Fixed IP address
