Matrix: How can I tell if the fibre transceiver on the E-FIB or E-MADI64 card or ProGrid device is single or multi-mode

Matrix: How can I tell if the fibre transceiver on the E-FIB or E-MADI64 card or ProGrid device is single or multi-mode

The Fibre transceivers that Clear-Com use can be easily identified as to whether they are single mode or multi-mode
By looking at the the transceiver handle - you can identify the cable type   BLUE handle = Single mode BLACK handle = Multi-mode
By default

  • Clear-Com E-Fib cards are shipped using Single mode transceivers - These have a BLUE handle on the SFP device

  • Clear-Com E-MADI64 cards are shipped using Multi-mode transceivers - These have a BLACK handle on the SFP device

  • ProGrid devices can be ordered with either mode
