Wireless: Can I hot swap FS II transceiver antennas on a PD2203 antenna splitter?
Question: With the Freespeak II / CellCom system E1 antenna ports supplying +24Vdc to attached PD2203 antenna splitters and downstream to PD2201antennas or FS II transceiver antennas can I hot swap PD2203 splitters or transceiver antennas without fear of damaging the units?
Answer: It is completely safe to hot swap PD2203 splitters and transceiver antenna connected to splitter modules. The base station firmware / hardware is resilient, hot swapping an antenna does not affect the operation of other antennas on the system.
