To locally change sidetone levels on a panel ·        Connect headset andlatch a talk key to another port or panel ·        Menu > localpref> level adj > adjust the sidetone level for L-sidetone using theencoder . ·        When  in themenu .. make sure the red talk button for L-sidetone is ON        A EHX download does have aneffect on sidetone when using a normal apply label change download·        If you make a blackreset (clear frame data) the sidetone value for the panels is set as per the map ·        If you adjust thesidetone level using the local panel menu then the local value STAYS even ifyou download using a  "apply label change"or  the "reset frame" option and is only reset using a BLACK reset (clear frame data download)·        If you do not makeany changes to the sidetone level from the local panel menu (after a black)..then any changes in made in EHX (card ports / advance settings ) to the sidetone level using "apply label change"or  the "reset frame" option are applied
