Partyline: What's the difference between headset and intercom line connections?
Most headsets utilize a 4-pin connection, however the intercom line is still 3-pin.
Headsets:
1 = mic common
2 = mic hot
3 = headphone common
4 = headphone hot
Intecom:
1 = ground
2 = power/voltage
3 = audio
Headset connections are generally 4, 5, or 6 pin, while intercom connections are usually 3 or 6 pin (6pin for dual channel beltpacks etc.,).
