Matrix: Can I import older Matrix +2 DOS based configurations into the Windows 12.0 Matrix +2 software?

Question: I have an old Matrix +2 frame in operation, the PC that operated it's software is no longer working, so we replaced it with a newer PC operating with Windows XP and downloaded the latest software from your web site. When we try to connect to the Matrix +2 frame or import a saved configuration into the version 12 windows based Matrix +2 frame the software throws errors. What should we do?
Answer: Suggest that you download an earlier DOS version of the Matrix +2 software program to try to connect to the Matrix frame with it. The frame and panel firmware version is specific to the software version, that is the DOS based Matrix +2 software is not compatible with firmware designed to be used with the Windows based version of Matrix +2. If you attempt to load in a DOS based configuration into the Windows version of Matrix +2 the following error message will be seen:






When the user clicks on "YES" the software will throw the following error message to the user:
