Matrix: EHX 8.0 upgrades on V-Series panels via firmware upgrader or TFTP GUI
Please note that if a user is upgrading from a previous version of EHX version 7.6.0 or lower to version 8.0 V-Series IP panel settings in the panel local menus will not be retained when upgrading the application firmware via the EHX firmware upgrader or manually using the TFTP GUI terminal program.
It is advised that if a user has IP enabled panels on their system that they capture the IP panel information prior to starting the EHX upgrade process as the panels will need to be reprogrammed after the upgrade. The local menu on an IP panel will have one new setting:
LOCAL MENU --> IP SETUP --> NET SETUP --> DNS / IP:
DNS / IP --> Used to switch between DNS and IP server modes. In DNS server mode, you can enter a login name for the IVC server that the panel connects to. In IP server mode you must enter the IP address of the IVC server.
Note: Users connecting V-Series to MVX-A16 Mk 1 or Mk 2 cards do not have to reset any local menu IP settings.
