Matrix: E-Pico / E-32s replacement cooling fans

Question:  My E-32 / E-Pico frame sometimes emits a loud noise near the cooling vents.  What is causing this noise?
Answer:
Older E-32 and E-Pico frames shipped prior to 2008 were equipped with Sunon cooling fans, a number of these fans either became extremely noisy or stopped working altogether and required replacement.  The current E-Pico frames since 2008 are equipped with Papst cooling fans which are much more reliable.  The Clear-Com spare part number for replacement a fan is 740119Z, The replacement fans will work in both older E-32 and current Eclipse-Pico matrices
The frame requires two cooling fans, the fans use connectors to plug onto the frame main pcb.
