Matrix: Is there an easy way to get the Mac address for a Median frame?
Answer:
The frame MAC address is not shown in the event log directly. We only show the hardware (dongle) ID in the log
You can view the matrix mac address by a) Go the CMD prompt window b) ping the frame from your PC c) then use the arp command
type : arp -a
arp <space>-a You will find the frames IP and MAC in the list.
or
type: arp -a <ip address>
note: the arp command can be used to find the mac address of any Ethernet enabled device on your network
