Helixnet: What are the power options for the HKB-2X speaker station?

Question:  I want to add some of your HKB-2X speaker stations to an existing Helixnet Base Station system running 6 HBP-2X beltpacks.  What is the best way to power a speaker station, via the power line, via Ethernet or locally via its own power supply?


Answer: 

When using the Helixnet HMS-4X Main Station Powerline the Speaker Station receives audio data, control data, and DC power via the Powerline cable connection directly. A Powerline connection draws power directly from the Main Station, which can support ten (10) beltpacks, three to five (3-5) Remote or Speaker Stations or a combination of each per Powerline output.


When using a local AC/DC power adapter, an additional 20 Remote or Speaker Stations can be supported on each Powerline circuit.


The Speaker Station has the capability to be locally powered via an external power supply or a third party Power-over-Ethernet Switch (POE) . When using a PoE Ethernet Switch. Power is drawn over the Ethernet cable, which can support up to 30 additional Remote or Speaker Stations.
