Partyline: AM radio station in Clear-Com system
Partyline: AM radio station in Clear-Com system
Question: At times we can hear a radio station very loud throughout our Clear Com intercom system. It often becomes too loud to use the system. Would you tell me some solutions to try please?
Solution: Check the intercom cables for loose or broken grounds, also check for broken grounds on headsets, when they are plugged into main stations or beltpacks and the talk is active the issue could be present. Other possible causes can be power cables in close proximity to poorly shielded intercom cables (cable shield could be poorly braided or broken so look for severe kinks in the cable).
Detaching sections of the intercom system may be necessary to troubleshoot what part of the intercom system is accepting the AM interference signal.
