If you SPECIFICALLY have a Sennheiser HMD 26-II-600-8 or -7 Dynamic Broadcast Headset and want to connect to one of our Announcer Boxes this may work for your particular headsets stranded cable. Always consult your headset manufacturers manual for correct wiring.
The standard AB-100 / AB-120 is shipped with a headset connector designed for use with any type of announcer headset. Connection is via a Switchcraft™ XLR-6F connector on the unit. The pin out of the headset connector is as follows:PIN# 1 Microphone Lo (-) 2 Microphone Hi (+) 3 Headphone Common (In this instance: Tie the headphone lows (-) to pin 3 ) 4 Left Headphone (+) 5 Right Headphone (+) 6 Microphone Shield (Drain Wire) The mic pair should have a shielded mylar/foil/other sheath and a drain wire. Attach the drain wire to pin 6. Just fold back the other sheath.
