Matrix: Can I use the TR-50 Talent Receiver with the IFB-104 Interface?
The IFB-104 interface can support up to 4 on-air IFB (Interruptible Foldback) talents either directly connected earbuds/headphones or powered IFB units like the Clear-Com TR-50 unit.
The interface provides an audio-balanced program input to a Matrix frame and sends IFB outputs to on-air talent. Both the input and output 3-pin XLR connectors are transformer isolated.
The IFB-104 can be used via dry IFB feeds to the talent provided the Wet/Dry switch is set to the Dry position, likewise the use of Clear-Com TR-50 or similar talent receivers can be used as the IFB-104 is capable of wet feeds via +30 VDC on Pin 2 of the XLR using the J1 or J2 connectors on the back of the IFB-104 to a Clear-Com party-line power supply unit on any of the available four IFB channels.
In this mode the Wet/Dry switch on the individual channel must be set to the "Wet" position, the front panel green Power LED will lite indicating proper operation.
