Partyline: How can I interface a Motorola GP-340 2-way radio to a Clear-Com TW-47?
Question: I have a Motorola GP-340 radio that I would like to interface to a Clear-Com TW-47 2-way radio interface? The accessory connector that I have has twin mini-plugs on it and corresponds to the generic Motorola connection diagram shown below taken from the TW-47 user manual. Can you recommend an adapter that will allow me to mate this connector to the 2-way radio accessory connector which has a rectangular shape on the GP-340 2-way radio?
Answer: Several 2-way radio accessory companies supply screw down adapters that will allow the use of Motorola accessories to specific Motorola type radios. For the Motorola GP-340 radio the Planet Headset website http://www.planetheadset.com/motorola-radio-accessories.php has an adapter that will allow the use of the twin mini plug connector, see their part # K9716 (shown below).
