Question:  Can I use the MS-232 (or MS-702) hot mic output on the rear panel of the unit to feed a mixer or recording device?  I want to record for playback the directors microphone output from the MS-232 panel. 
Answer: TheMS-232 hot mic output could be used to record the MS-232s outboundtransmissions to a 3^rd party device such as a mixing panel orrecording device.  Here are the specs for the hot mic output via the ¼inch connector:
Hot Mic Out / IFB System: This connection is a1/4 inch phone jack. It provides a 0 dBVoutput signal from the selected headset orpanel microphone. This output is intended to interfacewith the External Line In jack on Clear-Com'sIFB System. The jack is wired as follows:Ring --- Ext. IFB Control Signal Input (don’tuse)Tip --- Hot Mic Audio OutputSleeve--- Ground (Shield)
Touse simply connect the tip (audio hot) and sleeve (Shield) on a tip/ring/sleeve¼ plug for an unbalanced audio output at 0dBV.  This output could also beused with an inexpensive direct box to convert the unbalanced output to a balancedoutput.   Anotherway to record all audio on the intercom line would be to use a spare RS-501 orRS-601 beltpack connected to the IC line and take the headset output directly as a balanced outputto the recording device using headset jack 4-pin XLR pins 3 (headphone low) and4 (headphone high) and use the headset level control volume to tailor the audiooutput to the recording device.
