Wireless: What is an RCV-2 IFB receiver?

Wireless: What is an RCV-2 IFB receiver?

Question:  Is the RCV-2 IFB receiver the same as a Vega produced PL-2 IFB receiver?  They appear to be identical in appearance except for the identification label on the front panel.
Answer:  Yes, both products are one in the same, they could be substituted for each other as they both worked in the unused VHF TV bands.  The RCV-2 was the version of product privately labeled to Clear-Com in the 1990s for the UPX-10 wireless intercom system which was part of Clear-Com's Party-line product line.  It would interface into a PL system via standard 3-pin XLR cable.

The both the RCV-2 and UPX-10 units are obsolete please visit the Clear-Com web site for alternative Wireless IFB products
