Matrix: Vseries display module pic bootloader problem
The "problem" occured while updating (using ECS) the Vseries panel display modules PIC BOOT and PIC APPLICATION from 28:255 to 29:2 (where the first number is the application version and the second number is the boot version, and 255 actually means no version number assigned for such earlier version).
If I first update the application code, after this update I get version 29:255 (ok). Then, if I send the boot update I get a "final" version 29:2 which is correct as well.If I instead start updating with the pic bootloader code first, after this update I get version 29:2 although I didn't send the application code, just the boot code.AND THE BOOT CODE FILE I SEND IS MUCH SMALLER THAN THE APP CODE FILE, so I don't understand why the app code version changes as well.Once the boot code update has done, the panel refuses to update the app code, as it is already version 29.
The display module application code is stored in two places , a) as a separate file ( part number 710819Z.4KP - Display PIC Application Code)b) as part of the main Vseries panel application code.
When you download the pic bootloader : it will automatically install the latest application code as well (either from the Vseries panel main app code or via the separate download)
