Matrix: Can I install ECS 5.1 or higher on a Windows 2000 PC with SP4?

The answer to this question is no, the PC must be operating the following Windows platform:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3 or Windows Server 2003SP1 (SP2 recommended) or Windows Vista SP1 operating system

If upgrading from ECS 5.0 to ECS 5.1 check the PC for the Windows platform used and that the PC has a DVD combo drive as ECS 5.1 is released on a DVD due to the files compressed on the DVD.  ECS 5.0 and earlier versions were released on a CD.
