Matrix: Can multiple users open and download to a network of Eclipse matrices simultaneously?
Using the ECS client/server mode a central Server PC will hold the configurations for each matrix in the network. Any ECS Client user will be allowed to open and edit selected configuration(s). Other ECS Clients can open/edit other configurations or will have "read-only" access to a configuration that is already opened.
However ECS V5.1 allows multiple users to make on-line changes simultaneously - these include keys, forced listens, and input and output levels. To use it in this way the second user would open the configurations as read-only, but would still be able to go online and make changes.
ECS Client/Server mode also allows for 2 levels of User rights (Admin/ User) and also allows for map configurations to be password protected before a user can open/edit the mapAdmin: full system accessUser: limited access to map changes but cannot make changes to network trunk lines.
Solution update: Mar-2010ECS V5.1.3 also introduces more user rights levels Network Admin: Local Admin: User:Guest:
