Matrix: How can I tell if an ICS-2003 panel has Matrix +3 or Eclipse firmware installed?

If the ICS-2003 panel isn't connected to a Matrix frame and the user wants to determine if the panel is Matrix+3 or Eclipse compatible look at the front panel vacuum fluorescent blue display (VFD) or on older panels the electronic flourescent orange display while the panel is powered on, the following message will appear on the display:
Matrix +3:  Waiting for Systems Connection
Eclipse:  Waiting for Eclipse Connection
Note:  While the panel is powered up but not connected to a compatible frame it is not possible to determine the firmware version embedded on the panel.
