The MTX-A8M port cards used in MicroMatrix M+3 frames are not directly compatible with MTX-A8 and MVX-A8 cards used in the larger Compact 72 and System 200 M+3 frames.
The same is true of the MVX-A8 port card, generally speaking this card version is only compatible with Compact 72 and System 200 frames. Some small number of MicroMatrix frames near the end of life on this product used a modified MVX-A8M card that can only be used in MicroMatrix frames, this enables VOX functionality in this series of frames.
Note that the "M" at the end of the MTX-A8M card denotes that it is to be only used in MicroMatrix frames. The ejector handles on the port card should denote if the port card is an MTX-A8 or MTX-A8M version.
From a electronics point of view the MTX-A8M card uses dc power directly from the MMX-24 power supply brick thus some components are not stuffed on this version of the card.
