Matrix: Do i get in-use tally or some sort of busy tally for TEL-14 unit connected on a remote matrix
I have two networked (linked) matrices and on system #1 I have a number of TEL-14 telephone hybrids. The panels on system #2 have keys to talk / listen to the TEL-14 on system #1, however can the panels on system #2 see when the TEL-14 are off hook or busy / in-use
Answer: Using ECs V5.1.3 And making sure the in- use tally and off hook tally on the TEL-14is set You get flashing signalisation on the remote system panels.
Note: at ECS V5.1.3 there are some limitation when using remote TEL-14 units
TEL-14 issues whennetworking:- A panel user cannot go to the dial menu and release a call ifthe call started from another system.- Inward DTMF is only available on a local frame. The user isunable to dial a route to another system. - Dialling out using V-Series dial mode on remote TEL-14 (only via analogue trunk lines which have DTMF encoders fitted)- Off-hook tallies not appearing on remote systems But you can:- Take a remote TEL-14 off-hook- Use speed dials (configured on that remote system)
