ZSync is the new sync-ing dongle used when linking multiple Tempest basestations together
ZSync is recommended for all multi-base systems. Tempest’snew ZSync technology coordinates 2.4GHz BaseStations’ frequencies to allow upto 11 BaseStations to work together without inter-base interference. WithoutZSync, multi-base systems can experience start-up to start-up variation thatcan cause RF performance to suffer. 
Using ZSync ensures that all of theBaseStations’ hopping patterns are aligned correctly and that no twoBaseStations try to use the same frequency at the same time. To gain thebenefit of ZSync all BaseStations and Remote Transceivers must have version1.18 radios.
