Matrix: How do I check my IP Direct connections are working
Question: How can I check with event log screen, monitoring screen or IP device menu that the IP directs connection is running properly?
Answer:
If possible, perform a simple audio check:
• Panel on system 1 talk/listen to Direct port#1 of IVC on system1 • Panel on system 2 talk/listen to Direct port#1 of IVC on system2 • Both panels should hear each other
If this is not possible there are two options in EHX software:
The IP Devices page can be used. This monitors all IP devices and updates as status changes are recorded in the frame. The directs will be green if running correctly.
The Event Log can also be used.
Ensure the Event log is running (click the blue play button in the upper right-hand side of window
Select Request Info
Select VoIP Status from the options on the left-hand side of the pop-up window
Click OK and you will see all IP port info
The output can be narrowed down by slot number to output a specific card as described in the fields.
