Partyline: Can I use a CC-30 headset on a Clear-Com series RS-700 beltpack?
Partyline: Can I use a CC-30 headset on a Clear-Com series RS-700 beltpack?
Question: I have RS-700 series beltpacks in use on my intercom system. I just purchased some CC-30 dual muff headsets
to use with them but they don't appear to work when I plug them in. They only hear, the operators can't talk on them. Are
they compatible with my RS-700 series beltpacks?
Answer: Yes, the CC-30 and CC-15 headsets with 4-pin XLRs are completely compatible with your RS-700 series beltpacks.
The headsets use electret mics so the RS-700 beltpacks need to be configured to electret mic mode. That is accomplished
by loosening the beltclip on the pack, looking at the dip switch settings for dynamic / electret mic operation and setting the
dip switch to electret mic mode.
RS-701 / RS-702 / RS-703 beltpacks:
Dip Switch position 1
ON = Dynamic Mode
OFF = Electret Mode
