I want to send and receive call signal between my V-series panel and an external Party-line system via a EF-701M unit that is connected to an MVX port on my Eclipse matrix  

A) Sendingcall signal from Matrix to EF-701+ PL system · In ECS configure the port on the MVX card as a CCI-22 · On your EF-701 unit 1.       SetDip switch #1 to be ON 2.       SetDip switch #2 to be OFF 3.       Powercycle the EF-701 after setting the dip switches to the correct position· Connect the EF-701 to a POWERED PL system … making sure the PLchannel is terminated · Configure a talk / listen key on your panel to the EF-701 port. · Pressing the small up/down scroll keys on the key will send acall signal to the PL channel · The data LED on the EF-701 should flash repeatedly while theup/down scroll keys are being held (EF-701).Mode Switch 1:On - RJ45 connects to Matrix directlyOff - RJ45 connects to 4-wire/Fiber
Mode Switch 2:On - DB15 sends/receives 20Khz call, RTS-TW Intercom Level Off - DB15 sends/receives C-C DC call, C-C Intercom Level
B) Receivingcall signal from the PL system ·        In ECS go to hardware > cards and ports ·        Select the panel and set Call signal tones to TRUE 

· Go to local advance > Preset Call· Set the crosspoint between the EF-701 port and the panel whereyou want to send call signal to· When the call button is pressed on the External PL unit like a MS-704 the V-series panelwill beep a tone to indicate call signal. · If you want the V-series panel key to flash then set local advance>preset talk crosspoint between the EF-701 port and the panel · By setting both Preset talk and call you will get the beep tonesand a flashing key to indicate the calling channel.





















C) Diagnostic checks 1     On the ECS which is connected to the matrix  Goto  Diagnostic > event log.   Power on / off theEF-701   ..... Confirm  you should see port Online and OFFlinemessages.
2     Connect a powered PL to the  EF-701, connect the EF-701 to aun-used port on the matrix.  Now, on ECS  go to ECS hardware >cards and ports and select "detect new hardware" ..... Confirm if thematrix  detects the EF-701 as a CCI-22 unit.
