Wireless: Can I link a WBS-670 wireless intercom to a Production Intercom MS200 base station?
Wireless: Can I link a WBS-670 wireless intercom to a Production Intercom MS200 base station?
Question: Had a customer ask if he adds a WBS670 w/ WTR670 beltpacks to his existing Production Intercom MS200
base station w/ wired beltpacks will the wireless & wired systems communicate with each other?
Answer: The WBS-670 wireless intercom product should be compatible with Production Intercom’s MS200 base station.
The WBS base station’s 2-wire PL connections use the same wiring scheme as the MS200s 2-wire PL connectors, this
will allow for comms to / from the WBS-670 and MS200. The only difference that you might encounter pairing the two systems
up is a small audio level difference, but the WBS-670 has PL IC input / output level adjustment controls which should allow the
user to balance the audio between the two systems.
3-pin XLR PL wiring scheme for MS200 and WBS-670 for 2-wire PL linking: Standard 3-pin XLR mic cable can be used.
Pin 1 = Intercom ground (shield)
Pin 2 = +24 to 30 Vdc
Pin 3 = Bi-directional intercom audio
