Wireless: Can I link a WBS-680 base station with a Tempest 2400 2 channel base station?
Question: I'm looking to order a Tempest CM-222 and 2 x CP-222’s, this potentially would be going to our rental department for a show. They are currently running 4 channels of WBS 670 and were hoping to integrate Tempest into this via a PL link......does this sound feasible ?
Answer: Regarding Tempest playing nicely with WBS via the 2-wire PLs there shouldn’t be any problem whatsoever. Simply connect Tempest to the existing (POWERED) 2-wire Clear-Com intercom channel feeds. Once the physical connections are made on Tempest enable the PL channels using the front panel select button and via the menu (or T-Desk PC config software) and run the PL auto-nulling process for each channel and enable the ECAN feature at the Tempest base station.
All one has to make is the physical 2-wire connections via 3-pin XLR mic cable and enable the Tempest 2-wire channels and adjust the input / outputs either by T-Desk or via manual activation of menus at the Tempest base station.
